No Milling Around At Catalyst Paper
Power met pulp when a paper company came to us looking for a temporary power solution during a mill shutdown.
With mills across the continent and customers around the world, this client is North America’s largest manufacturer of mechanical paper. Their commitment to quality and reputation for excellence make them a leader in the pulp and paper industry, so we were especially excited about the opportunity to work with them when they approached us for a quote.
The paper company was undertaking its largest mill shutdown in many years, in order to do crucial maintenance work. During the shutdown, they needed to power critical loads, tools, lights, and equipment. Trinity was selected for the job because we were able to offer a detailed and comprehensive turnkey solution for this complex undertaking.
And we followed through. We were able to successfully install a temporary power system at the mill and monitor it for the duration of the shutdown. Because of the size and complexity of the site, we employed a combination of diesel and gas generators and opted for using several smaller generators, rather than having one large, centralized system. With our meticulous coordination of logistics, our vast inventory and our power broker model, we were able to deliver what the shutdown required: 25 generators (ranging from 2.5kW up to 1000kW), all distribution equipment and an experienced team to execute and manage every project phase.
Despite last-minute changes and additions, we were able to install the right system for this client’s situation, and monitor it for the duration of the mill shutdown, freeing the company up to do the maintenance required to focus on what they do best: making high-quality paper.
